Mark Wanko

Mark Wanko has had a long and varied career, straddling finance and technology. During the dot-com tech boom era, he worked as a webmaster and consultant for one of BC's top 50 fastest-growing software companies. After the tech bubble burst in 2000, he shifted his career into the investment world and worked in the back office of one of Canada's largest and most prestigious mutual fund companies, which cultivated his love for investing. This led to a seven-year position as an IIROC licensed Investment Representative at the leading Canadian discount brokerage firm at that time, where he acquired vast knowledge about the Canadian and US investment landscape. Following that position, he pivoted once again and returned to back-office duties in the Investments department of one of Canada's largest insurance companies, before, ultimately, founding Wanko Enterprises.
During his working career, Mark's natural curiosity led him to explore the alternative space of cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
He has now been investing in cryptocurrencies for over ten years and has acquired immense experience, expertise, and acumen in this emerging technology, making him a true pioneer.
In his latest ventures, Mark has moved into the real estate world to diversify his investment portfolio and to see his wealth grow in a more tangible way. He has since joined a well-established local Real Estate club and acquired three properties in BC and Alberta and is looking forward to increasing his real estate acquisitions in 2023/24.
